Warren Alexander
was born on September 27, 1922 the son of the late James R. and Mattie Snyder Alexander.
On August 3, 1944 he was united in marriage to the former Louise Birmingham, who preceded him in death on March 1, 2004.
Mr. Alexander retired from his job with the Shelby County Corrections Center, road department, after approximately 20 years as a heavy equipment mechanic. He was a member of the Milledgeville United Methodist Church and a member of the Woodmen of the World for over 50 years. Mr. Alexander was also a Third Degree Mason.
He departed this life on May 10, 2006 at his son’s residence in Milledgeville, Tennessee at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 13 days.
Mr. Alexander is survived by a son, Leland W. Alexander, and daughter-in-law, Margie Alexander, both of Milledgeville, Tennessee; one granddaughter: Melissa Ann Fischer and her husband, Scott Fischer; and two great-grandchildren: Ella Ann Fischer and Elias Gage Fischer.
In addition to his parents and wife, Louise Birmingham Alexander, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Alice Peyton and Gladys Benson and 6 brothers: Travis, Troy, Farris, Clarence, Grady and Howard Alexander.
