Wardie Mae Brown, age 83, of Middleton, TN passed away on July 27, 2008 at Bolivar General Hospital in Bolivar, TN.
She was born June 16, 1925 in Falkner, MS to Lonnie Burton (Bertie) and Evie Hopkins Childers. She married Ceffice Earl Brown May 21, 1943 in Benton County, MS. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed gardening and working with animals. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by their seven children, Mary Lee Hodge of Middleton, TN, Johnnie Clemmer of Brownfield, MS, Mitchell and Tinkie Brown of Blue Mountain, MS, Judie and Buddy Davis of Beech Bluff, TN, Stanley and Lisa Brown of Middleton, TN, Marshall Brown of Blue Mountain, MS and Jackie Brown of Middleton, TN; 21 grandchildren, Gail Taylor, Tracy Luna, Joey Manley, Lavon Clemmer, Amanda Dollar, Lonnie Brown, Tina Patterson, Lisa Burdge, Lowell James, Missy Wilbanks, Jennifer Stewart, Christina Brown, Elizabeth Brown, Sarah Brown, Christopher Hodge, Amanda Shannon, Ashley Powell, Jody Brown, Jeffrey Brown, Haley Brown and Amy Brown; twenty-nine great-granchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. Other close family members include Alice Brown of Cayce, MS, LaQuinda Pace of Blue Mountain, MS, Jerry James of Middleton, TN and Rhonda Ivy of Middleton, TN.
In addition to her husband, who died August 13, 2007, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Mary Katherine Hodge; two sisters, Cordie Sides and Pauline Britt; and two brothers, Elmer Childers and Bertie Cecil Childers.
