Wanda Vires

Wanda Vires, a wonderful nurse and loving wife, mother, daughter, and grandmother passed away on May 15, 2023, at the age of 58 years. She was born on November 13, 1964, in Memphis, TN to Mollie Ann Milender Monday and the late Rodney Ross Foster.

Wanda married her beloved husband Nicky Vires on July 10, 1990. She dedicated herself to her nursing career for 23 years, with her most recent position being at Henderson Health & Rehab. Her kind and compassionate nature made her a beloved nurse who cared deeply for every resident she looked after. In her free time, Wanda enjoyed camping and spending time at their house on the river.

Above all else, Wanda treasured her family more than anything else in the world. She was devoted to her husband of 33 years, Nicky Vires of Finger, TN; mother, Mollie Monday of Counce, TN; and four sons: Chris Vires of Lewisville TX; Daniel Vires and his wife Ginger of Michie TN; Tegan Burks of Henderson TN; Ryan Vires of Finger TN; four grandchildren also held a special place in her heart: Hunter Vires, Ashton Vires, Tate Burks and Kyile Burks. Additionally, Wanda was survived by her sister, Teresa Jones of Henderson TN; daughter-in-law, Amber Vires of Finger, TN.

Wanda was preceded in death by stepfather, Arvil "Buddy" Monday and brother, Charlie Brown Gladish.

Her memory will forever live on through those who knew and loved her dearly. Wanda's gentle spirit will never be forgotten by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
