Wanda Joyce Berkley Davis

Wanda Joyce Berkley Davis passed to her heavenly home on May 11, 2021. She was born on October 19, 1940 to the late James Finis and Mary Lorrell Baker Berkley, Pinson, TN.

Wanda attended school in Pinson, TN. On October 15th, 1955 she married John H. Davis, and they enjoyed 51 years of marriage before his passing. She was affectionately known as “Granny Wanda” by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She was a licensed beautician and also spent a number of years as the bookkeeper for their family business.

She was a member of Peoples Chapel, Jackson, TN where she enjoyed singing and worshipping with her church family. Also, she was an avid fan of Blue Grass Singings.

Wanda is survived by her two sons, Chris (Nancy) Davis, Pinson, TN and Mike (Gina) Davis, Fulton, MS. Her grandchildren: Matthew (Christina) England, Shertz, TX, Justin (Becky) Davis, Medina, TN, Nicole (Tony) Bowden, Molena, GA, Shelby Davis, Memphis, TN, Ty Davis, Fulton, MS. Her great-grandchildren: Hailey Davis, Hunter Bowden, Ashlyn Bowden, Lucas England, Lana England, Brady Davis, Lakyn Davis, and, two brothers, Anthony (Pat) Berkley, Darrell (Marsha) Berkley and four sisters, Linda (Earl) Murchison, Kathy (Charles) Dyer, Anita (Dennis) Rhodes, and Darla Morris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Davis and her son, Ray B. Davis.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, May 14th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Jerry Snider officiating. Burial will follow in Bear Creek Cemetery at Pinson.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday service time.
