Funeral services for Walter C. Gambrel age 78 of Iron City, TN will be on Sunday, May 7, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood,TN with Chad Balentine officiating. Interment following in Bethlehem Cemetery, Westpoint, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements.



Visitation will be on Friday, May 05, 2006 6:00-9:00 pm ; Saturday May 6 from 9:00 am—9:00 pm and on Sunday May 7 from 10:00 am until service time at Shackelford Funeral Home, Collinwood,TN



Walter C. Gambrel a native of Wayne County, TN died on Thursday May 4, 2006 at Maury Regional Hospital, Columbia, TN . Mr. Gambrel was born on September 19, 1917 to the late Bradley C and Elizabeth Louise Gambrell Gambrel. He was preceded in death by his wife; Helen Marie Fitzgerald Gambrel; brothers; Howard, Buford and C.F. Gambrel; sisters; Mary King; Lillie Kruszyna; Opal Brown; Geneva Kniker and Hannah Gambrel.



Mr. Walter was a member of UAW and retired press operator with auto manufacturing .
