Walter Newton Bell, 81, of Middleton, died Friday morning, October 6, 2006 at his home.
He was born in Marshall County, MS, the son of John Grady and Bessie Mae Vick Bell, graduated from Red Bank (MS) High School and was married to Inez Johnson on July 30, 1949. He lived in Memphis for 45 years where he was owner-operator of Bell-Harden Heating. Mr. Bell moved to the Middleton area in 1995 and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman.
His survivors include his wife, Inez; three daughters, Vicki Dupree of Germantown, Rebecca Jones of Henderson and Carol Adams of Greeneville, TN; two sons, Walter Bell, Jr. of Nashville and David Bell of Middleton; a sister Olive Mae Fore and a brother John Grady Bell, both of Holly Springs, MS; twelve grandchildren, Kimberly Dunigan, Kelly Levander, Manisha Lazure, Shaun Jones, Kristi Anttila, Karen Legg, Nicholas Adams, Austin, Ryan Cody, Carson and Trevor Bell; five great-grandchildren, Aaron Patterson, Brayden Lazure, Emma, Grace and Gabriella Dunigan.
