Wallace Bachuss departed this life on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at the age of 91 years, 3 months, 14 days.He was born in Savannah, Tennessee on January 25, 1922, the son of the late Joseph and Rebecca Cooper Bachuss. On March 13, 1950, he was united in marriage to Odette Lepelletier, who preceded him in death September 7, 2008.Wallace enlisted in the Army during WWII and was Honorably Discharged after 3 years of service. He then enlisted in the Navy and served for 19 years. Wallace retired from the Navy in 1962 as a Ship Serviceman 1st Class. His military service took him to New Guinea, the Philippines and Japan. After retirement from the military he worked for DSC (Diesel Service Center) in Torrance, California as a warehouse manager. Wallace is survived by his children, Steven Bachuss of Loganville, Georgia and Marcelle Miller of Anaheim, California; grandchildren, Ryan Miller, Megan Good, and Rebecca Bachuss; great grandchildren, Bailey Good and Ella Good; sisters, Maggie Barnett and Guerneal Goodman both of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, James Bachuss of Savannah, Tennessee.In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Myrtle Frances Bachuss; brothers, Elmer, John, J.B. and Gernel Bachuss.
