Walker Mitchell

WALKER MITCHELL



was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 5, 1914 the son of the late Jim and Tennie Franks Mitchell.



On August 8, 1936 he was united in marriage to the former Florine Bratton, who preceded her husband in death on December 31, 2006.



Mr. Mitchell was a retired farmer. He attended Faith Assembly and Soul Harbor. Mr. Mitchell was a hard working honest and gentle man. He loved his wife, his children and his grandchildren. He loved life but most of all he loved the Lord.



Mr. Mitchell departed this life on August 5, 2007 at the Hardin County Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 92 years and 8 months.



He is survived by 3 daughters, Evelyn Morris and her husband Aaron of Lutts, Tennessee, Jerline Dodd and her husband W. C. of Savannah, Tennessee and Pauline Mitchell and her friend Terry of Savannah, Tennessee.



4 sons, Billy Mitchell and his wife Helen of Adamsville, Tennessee, Jim H. Mitchell and his wife Joyce of Savannah, Tennessee, Wallace Mitchell and his wife Sue of Savannah, Tennessee and Robert Joe Mitchell and his wife Jeanie of Savannah, Tennessee.



24 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren



one sister, Evon Brown of Savannah, Tennessee.



one brother, Brown Mitchell of Savannah, Tennessee.



Mr. Mitchell was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Jim Brennan Mitchell, 4 sisters, Etta Picken, Eva Price, Julie Franks and Della Picken and 4 brothers, Dan, Johnny, Hardin and Grady Mitchell.
