W. D. Jackson, Jr., 63, of Bolivar, died Friday, May 4, 2007, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
The husband of Brenda Ruth Vaughan Jackson, who survives, he was a lumber inspector and farmer. Mr. Jackson was born November 1, 1943 in Hardeman County, son of the late W. D. Jackson, Sr. and Lucy Thomas Fawcett Jackson and lived here all of his life. He graduated from the National Hardwood Lumber Association in Memphis and was a board member of the West TN Hatchie River Basin Authority. He was also a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, whom he married December 12, 1964, survivors include two sons, Michael W. Jackson of Middleton and Keith V. Jackson of Bolivar; three sisters, Betty Jo Grantham of Bolivar, Ruby Stewart of Germantown and Hazel Sisco of Middleton and four grandchildren, Nicholas, Logan, Katelyn and Hunter Jackson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lynn Jackson.
