Vonda Grantham, 88, of Middleton, died Thursday, October 26, 2006 at West Tennessee Transitional Care in Jackson.
The wife of P. T. Grantham, who survives, she was a homemaker and co-owner of several motels in Pigeon Forge, Panama City and Henderson. Mrs. Grantham was born March 1, 1918, in White County, Illinois, daughter of the late William and Polly Carter Rister and lived here all of her life. She was Methodist in belief.
In addition to her husband, whom she married in 1938, survivors include two sons and their wives, Ronnie & Phyllis Grantham of Bolivar and Ray & Cynthia Grantham of Sevierville; a sister, Fredia Crowley of Silerton; five grandchildren, Courtney, Kimberly, Ron Jr., Mike and Wanda Grantham; four great grandchildren, Ethan, Leah and Sara Grantham and Cassie Foster and one great great grandchild, Logan Foster. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Floyd, Cecil, Alva, Jesse and Lloyd Rister and two sisters, Verla Powell and Beulah.
