Darlene West

Darlene West, a cherished wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away on February 23, 2025, in Iron City, Tennessee, at the age of 60. Born on July 10, 1964, in Lawrence County, Tennessee, Darlene's early years were shaped by her experiences as a Navy brat, moving through various countries and states, which instilled in her a profound love for travel and adventure.

Darlene later settled in Leoma, Tennessee, where her journey took a beautiful turn when she married the love of her life, David West. Together, they built a warm and loving home in Collinwood, Tennessee, where they created countless memories. Darlene dedicated over 15 years of her life working as a line worker at Dura Automotive, demonstrating her strong work ethic and unyielding spirit.

In everything she did, Darlene exuded warmth and kindness. Her passions for shopping, spending time at the beach, and enjoying gelato in Italy were only overshadowed by her deepest pleasure—being surrounded by her beloved family.

She is survived by her devoted husband, David West of Collinwood, TN.; her son, Cody Littrell of Collinwood, TN.; stepson, Tanner West (Abby) of Collinwood, TN.; daughter, Danielle Smith (David) of Leoma, TN.; and stepdaughter, Somer Stone (Anthony Peden) of Collinwood, TN., her sisters Rhonda Bush (Frank) and Vickie Wiley both of Leoma, TN. Darlene's legacy continues through her grandchildren: Garrett Smith, Delaney Smith, Wyatt Smith, Sutton West, Sabrie West, Sawyer Stone, and Presley Stone, along with Isaiah Stone, and numerous nieces and nephews who brought immense joy to her life.

Darlene is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Allen Wiley and Janet Wiley.

Visitation on February 25, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and again on February 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, with internment to follow in the Centerpoint Methodist Cemetery in Leoma, TN.
