Virginia Larue Moore

Virginia Larue Moore of Selmer was born on March 17, 1926, to the late Elijah Froman Hurst and Flora Wilma Maness Hurst. She was united in marriage to James Odis Moore on October 25, 1941. Mrs. Moore passed from this life on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, in Selmer at the age of 83 years, 4 months, and 11 days. She was a member of Little Hatchie Primitive Baptist Church, a devoted, loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors are her husband of 67 years James Odis Moore of Selmer; 4 daughters, Linda Cone and husband Bill of Finger, Tennessee, Nina King and husband Carroll of Pocahontas, Tennessee, Wilma Lou Kinniburgh of Selmer, and Sequoia Hively and husband Jason of Selmer; a son, James Allen (Toby) Moore and wife Pat of Ramer,Tennessee; sister, Marie Causey of Bernie, Missouri; brother, Parker Hurst of Bethel Springs, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other realtives and friends. A daughter, Peggy June Moore, and a grandson, Jeffery Dale King, preceded Mrs. Moore in death.
