Virginia Jo Bishop
was born on February 27, 1928 in Hardin County, Tennessee the daughter of Robert and Pearl Bowling Davis.
She was united in marriage to Elvin Arnold Cummings and then to Charles Ray Bishop, both of whom preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bishop retired from Savannah Manufacturing and was of Assembly of God belief.
She departed this life on December 31, 2005 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 4 days.

4 daughters: Rebecca Schmitt and her husband, Joseph, of Trenton, Illinois
Mary Jo Frazier and her husband, Kenneth, of Savannah, Tennessee
Debra Morgan and her husband, Rudy, of Savannah, Tennessee
Gina Neill and her husband, Benny, of Savannah, Tennessee;
4 sons: Jerry Wayne Cummings and his wife, Linda, of Watervliet, Michigan
Lonny Cummings and his wife, Elizabeth, of Stevensville, Michigan
Ronny Cummings and his wife, Lisa, of Savannah, Tennessee
Nicky Ray Cummings of Savannah, Tennessee;
15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren;
2 sisters: Marjorie Schmitt and her husband, John, of Mascoutah, Illinois
Mary Meyer and her husband, Edward, of Niles, Michigan;
one brother, Charles Davis of Eau Claire, Michigan;
and one sister-in-law, Fanny Davis, wife of Marvin Davis of Berrien Springs, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; the father of her children, Elvin Arnold Cummings; her husband, Charles Ray Bishop; an infant daughter, Betty Jean Cummings; a brother, Marvin Davis and a grandson, Ray Cummings.
