Services for Virginia Cole Archer, age 92, Waynesboro, TN will be Friday, May 11, 2007 at 3 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro, with Marvin Champion and Mike Hammonds officiating. Burial will be in Ralph Cole Cemetery, Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2007 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, May 11, 2007 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.
She died at Wayne County Nursing Home, Waynesboro, on Wednesday, May 9, 2007.
Mrs. Archer, a native of Wayne County, TN, was a homemaker and a floral designer and of the Protestant faith. She was a daughter of the late James Ralph and Sarah Elizabeth Lay Cole, the wife of the late Howard Graham Archer, and the mother of the late Nathaniel Cole Archer.
Survivors, daughters, Ellamae McCullough, Foley, AL, Ruth Duren, Donelson, TN; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She died at Wayne County Nursing Home, Waynesboro, on Wednesday, May 9, 2007.
