Virginia Akers departed this life on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at the age of 84 years, 1 day.
She was born in Cambridge, Ohio on April 22, 1929, the daughter of the late Chester and Bessie Clary Kendrick. Virginia was affectionately known as "Miss Ginny" and had worked as a door greater at Wal-Mart. She loved Elvis Presley, dancing, watching NASCAR, and football. Miss Ginny was an awesome lady, a good friend, and a fine human being.
She is survived by her children, Toni Dunmire and husband Bud of Loudonville, Ohio, Tina Ginnetti of Lincoln, California, Jamie Parker and husband Charles of Savannah, Tennessee, Jim Brown and wife Joann of Petal, Mississippi; grandchildren, Andy Dunmire, Ann Stitzlein, Dennis Ginnetti, Shane Davis, Eric Davis, Corey Bochus, Reagan Brown, Chet Brown, and Kaleb Brown; great grandchildren, Jaden Davis, Jerrot Davis, Jocelyn Davis, Charlie Jo Davis, and Bobby Joe Davis, all who would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Park Rest Nursing Home for their kindness and compassion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Kendrick.
