Rev. Virgil L. Moore was born November 17, 1924 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Rev. L.L. and Myrtle Droke Moore. He was united in marriage to Mildred Flatt . Mrs. Moore preceded him in death on November 2, 1992.Before retiring, Rev. Moore was a factory worker at Paris Manufacturing and a full-time preacher. He preached in Hardin, McNairy, and Chester counties and in Alabama. He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Adamsville.Rev. Moore departed this life on July 29, 2007 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 8 Months, 12 Days. He is survived by two sons, Connie L. Moore and wife Tammy of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, and Randy Moore and wife Kay of Adamsville, Tennessee; two grandsons, Johnny Lee Moore and wife Brenda of Adamsville, Tennessee, and Stacey L. Moore and wife Misty of Savannah, Tennessee; granddaughter, Crystal Thompson and husband Lee of Nashville, Tennessee; eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Ora Lee Todd of Adamsville, Tennessee, Faye Crutchfield of Nashville, Tennessee, and Wilma Holden of Oliver Springs, Tennessee; brother, Bobby Moore of Portland, Tennessee.In addition to his wife and parents, Rev. Moore was preceded in death by grandson, Travis Moore; five sisters, Thelma Walker, Reatha Smith, Lessie Harris, Meadie Taylor, and Shirley Tipton; and brother, Lannie Moore.
