Virgil Brown DeShazier was born on July 26, 1955 in Hardin County, Tennessee to the late Buster Brown DeShazier and Melvina Murphy Babiec.
Virgil worked for Aqua Glass for 20 years and Hagy's for 6 years. He attended Sand Hill Holiness Church. Virgil loved mowing yards, fishing, working on cars, feeding deer, and talking to family. He also made several contributing to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Virgil departed this life on June 17, 2024 in Shiloh, Tennessee at the age of 68 years, 10 months, and 22 days.
He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Beckham (Vance) of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Jerry DeShazier (Patti) of Shiloh, Tennessee; sisters, Brenda Keele (Jeff), Joann Rickman, and Cathy Little, all of Savannah, Tennessee; half brothers, Carmack DeShazier, Odie DeShazier, and David DeShazier, all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Corey Austin, Cameron Austin, Kaley DeShazier, Katelyn Doty (Noah), Dustin Johnson, Casey Johnson, Shelby Beckham DeShazier, and Peyton Beckham DeShazier; and great grandchildren, Chevelle Austin, Cooper DeShazier, Nova Austin, Ryland DeShazier, Parker Doty, and Layna DeShazier.
In addition to his parents, Virgil was preceded in death by his step father, Richard Babiec; daughter, Windy Wilkerson; sister, Nita DeShazier; and brothers, James DeShazier, Floyd DeShazier, and Bobby DeShazier.
