Virgie L. Little Purvis of Adamsville, Tennessee, was born in Owingsville, Kentucky, on May 4, 1932, to the late Alfred Little and Della Margie Jefferson Little. Mrs. Purvis was a homemaker and minister. She was married to E. A. Lee "Ace" Purvis who preceded her in death. She attended Victory Christian Fellowship Church in Savannah, Tennessee. She was a former Senior Minister and Trustee at Hickory Flat Full Gospel Church.Mrs. Purvis died on Wednesday, August 29, 2007, in Memphis, Tennessee, at the age of 75 years, 3 months, and 25 days.Survivors are two daughters, Betty Kuhn of Brookhaven, Mississippi, and Debbie Leath of Atoka, Tennessee; three sons, David Lee Purvis of Roann, Indiana, Danny M. Purvis and Farley Purvis both of Adamsville, Tennessee; four sisters, Wilma Sorrell of Roann, Indiana, Bertha Richmond of Sharpsburg, Kentucky, Louise Staton of North Manchester, Indiana, and Ruby Fairchild of LaFontaine, Indiana; a brother Jesse Little of Wabash, Indiana.23 Grandchildren and 51 Great-GrandchildrenA host of other relatives and friends.Other than her parents and husband, Mrs. Purvis was also preceded in death by two daughters, Joyce Davis and Wilma Jean Moore; a sister Bessie Singleton; two brothers, Roy Little and Claude Little.
