Viola Jean Brown White was born on June 22, 1948 in Chilacothee, Ohio the daughter of the late Thurman and Clara Bloomfield Brown.
On July 23, 1983 she was united in marriage to Junior White, who survives. Mrs. White was a homemaker and a member of Wards Apostolic Church.
She departed this life on September 29, 2005 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 57 years, 3 months and 7 days.
Mrs. White is survived by her husband, Junior White of Savannah; 2 daughters: Clara Mae Brown of Bethel Springs, Tennesse and Susan Kay Edwards of Rome, Georgia;
2 sons: Hershel Lee Tilley, Jr. of Finger, Tennessee
and Terry Dwayne Tilley of Savannah, Tennessee;
a step-son, Chris White of Caruthersville, Missouri; 15 grandchildren;
2 sisters: Rose Mary Jones and Mary Ann Wallis, both of Duluth, Georgia; and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Dean Staggs of Savannah.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Edwards,
and 6 brothers: Billy, Roger, Denny, David, Larry and James Brown.
