Vicki Perry was born May 7, 1945 in Adamsville, TN the daughter of the late Page and Reesa Caperton Smith.
She was the Salutatorian of the Adamsville High School class of 1963. She graduated with honors from Memphis State University with a BS degree in Education. She taught in Memphis City Schools and Lafayette County Elementary School in Mississippi. She worked in management at Goldsmith's Department Store in Jackson, TN and as a bookseller at Davis-Kidd Booksellers and Books-A-Million. After retirement, she volunteered at Jack McConnico Library. She spent countless hours in libraries around the area piecing together the story of how her family came to settle in the McNairy-Hardin County area. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church in Adamsville.
Miss Perry departed this life on December 31, 2018 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 73 Years, 7 Months, 24 Days. She is survived by
a sister, Janice Rinks and husband Joe of Counce, TN; two nephews, Jeff Rinks and wife Barbie of Winter Garden, FL and Tim Rinks and wife Melanie of Eads, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church in Adamsville, TN.
