Veverly Ann Melson Pitts

was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on November 16, 1959 the daughter of the late Clarence Lester and Bernice Smith Melson.

On June 13, 2014 she was united in marriage to Jerry Loren Pitts, who survives.

Veverly worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant for Park Rest Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee. She attended Church On The Rock in Savannah, Tennessee. Veverly loved her nieces and nephews and visiting with her family. In her spare time she enjoyed watching cowboy movies and wagon train.

She departed this on Thursday, December 15, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 63 years and 29 days.

In addition to her husband, Jerry of Savannah, Tennessee she is survived by her son, Coty Kelly of Memphis, Tennessee, three children whom she raised as her own, Sabriska Pitts and Danny Lee Melson, both of Savannah, Tennessee and Allison McWilliams of Nashville, Tennessee; and one sister, Linda White (Nicky) of Savannah, Tennessee.

Veverly was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Lee Melson.
