VERNON JOE JONES
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on February 9, 1928 the son of the late Dave Elmer and Lois Cammie Harmon Jones.
On November 15, 1945 he was united in marriage to Bonnie B. Stracener, who survives.
Mr. Jones was a edge trimmer for Brown Shoe Factory in Union City, Tennessee. He was a member of Parkway Church of Christ in Fulton, Kentucky. Mr. Jones grew up in the Hardin County area, lived in St. Louis, Missouri for 6 years and in Fulton, Kentucky for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing baseball and reading the Bible.
Mr. Jones departed this life on November 18, 2010 in Fulton, Kentucky at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 9 days.
In addition to his wife, Bonnie of Fulton, Kentucky he is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Jones Wyatt and her husband Tony of Murray, Kentucky
2 sons, Danny Jones and his wife Gail of Wentzfield, Missouri and Keaton Jones and his wife Kathy of St. Louis, Missouri
8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild
one brother, Louie Jones of Savannah, Tennessee
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Beatrice Bruce, Annie Claudine Parsons and Betty Collins and one brother, Virgil Jones.
