Vernon L. Jenkins

Vernon L. Jenkins was born May 27, 1924 in Macy, Indiana the son of the late Darius and Carrie Southerton Jenkins.He was united in marriage to Marie Grau on February 7, 1947. Mrs. Jenkins preceded him in death on June 27, 1996.Mr. Jenkins was a engineer for ITT and worked for Pickwick Electric . He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. He served honorably in the United States Air Force during World War II. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his golfing friends and special senior center friends.Mr. Jenkins departed this life on August 5, 2008 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 2 Months, 9 Days. He is survived by close friends, Richard and Donna Howard of Selmer, TN; golfing and special senior center friends; a niece and nephews.In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeri Lee Jenkins.
