Vernice Eloise Stults

Vernice Eloise Sanders Stults of Iron City, TN was born March 16, 1931 in Florence, AL, the daughter of the late Richard and Lizzie Dee Rice Sanders. She was united in marriage to Hardin Coolidge Stults on April 20, 1946 and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1977.



Mrs. Stults was a homemaker and a member of the Fairview Baptist Church, Iron City, Tennessee.



Mrs. Stults departed this life on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 10 Months, 10 Days.



She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Stults and wife, Tammy of Florence, AL, Terry Stults and wife, Sherry of Cypress Inn, TN, Michael J. Stults and wife, Patsy of Ottawa, KS; five daughters, Virginia Kelley of Florence, AL, Deloris Banks and husband, David of Iron City, TN, Marilyn Lawrence of Waynesboro, TN, Teresa Bratcher and husband, Mark of Iron City, TN, Angie Bundy and husband, Tony of Decatur, AL; 38 Grandchildren, 62 Great-Grandchildren, 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren; four sisters, Arnita Rumbaugh and Audrey Hudgins both of Waynesboro, TN, Ellenea Brewer and Betty Phillips both of Athens, AL; several nieces and nephews.



In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Stults was preceded in death by a son, Carroll Stults; a daughter, Vernice Roberson.



Services will be Sunday, January 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Faiview Baptist Church, Iron City, Tennessee, with Bobby Rich and Everett Rich officiating. Burial will follow in the Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing.



Pallbearers will be Joel Bratcher, Michael Weeks, Robert Smith, Matthew Stults, Corey Kelley, and Dunley Stults. Honoray pallbearers will be Jordan Bratcher, Sean Thompson, Whitney Stults, Steven Stults, Lonnie Dixon, Jeremy Stults, Derrick Kelley, Jamie Stults, and Jason Stults.
