Verble E. Jones

Mrs. Verble E. Jones was born August 12, 1913 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late Alex and Callie Gay Dillon.On February 24, 1932 she was united in marriage to Buford Warren Jones who preceded her in death.Mrs. Jones was a retired short order cook. She was a member of the New Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Selmer.She departed this life on December 12, 2004 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years and 4 Months.Mrs. Jones is survived by two daughters, Betty Bodiford and husband Larry and Martha Carlin and husband Allen all of Selmer, Tennessee; one son, Bobby James Jones of Newport News, Virginia; four sisters, Bertha Brown and husband Earl and Dorothy Taylor all of Selmer, Tennessee, Ruby Michael of Kingwood, Texas, Maggie Beck and husband Bill of Collierville, Tennessee; one brother, Arnold Dillon of Batesville, Mississippi; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchildren.Other than her parents and her husband, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by three brothers, Otto Dillon, Theodore Dillon, Willie Dillon; and one grandchild, Norma Robertson.
