Verbal Mae Woods

Verbal Mae Woods was born September 28, 1921 in McNairy County, Tennessee the daughter of the late John and Amanda Rebecca Cody Garrison.She was united in marriage to J. L. Woods. Mr. Woods preceded her in death on May 27, 1993.Mrs. Woods was a supervisor for 30 years at Brown Shoe Company in Selmer. She was a member of the Court Avenue Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was active in the Ladies Auxillary at the church.Mrs. Woods departed this life on July 7, 2010 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 88 Years, 9 Months, 9 Days. She is survived by dear friends, Max and Mary Ann Nash of Selmer, TN; Kelly West and her children,Jessica, and Jimmy Lee West all of Selmer, TN; Stacey Nash of Selmer, TN; host of nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woods was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Nunley and Beatrice Mayfield; seven brothers Woodrow, Gilcie, O.C., Roscoe, Dewey, Troy and Roy Garrison.
