Van Cole Crews

Funeral service for Van Cole Crews, age 77, of Green River Road, Waynesboro, will be 1:00 pm Monday, September 11, 2006 at Shackelford Chapel in Waynesboro with Matthew Morine, Cary Crews, and Bobby Pinckley officiating. Interment will follow in Shields Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge.



Mr. Crews, a native of Wayne County, died on Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro. He was a son of the late Vernon Van (Jack) Crews and Marion Cole Crews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Ann Shelton and Rebecca Ray. Mr. Crews was a graduate of Wayne County High School, carpenter, and member of Waynesboro Church of Christ.



He is survived by his wife, Betty June Tucker Crews; sons, David Allen Crews and Anthony Wayne (Tony) Crews all of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Brian Crews and Joy Stults; great grandchildren, Kayla Crews, Hunter Crews, Ally Crews, Rachel Stults, and Gabriella Stults; brothers, Terrell Crews and Joe Crews both of Waynesboro and Ted Crews of Muscle Shoals, AL; and a sister Sally Meredith of Waynesboro.
