Ulys Presley Rowland

Ulys Presley Rowland was born May 8, 1915 in Chester County, Tennessee the son of the late John Wesley and Addie Evans Rowland.He was united in marriage to Bertha Lou Armour on September 7, 1934.Mr. Rowland was a Farmer . He was a charter member of the Lakeview Baptist Church in Selmer, Tennessee. He was a mason. He also served on agriculture board for several years and was a outstanding conservation farmer of the year.Mr. Rowland departed this life on January 21, 2008 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 92 Years, 8 Months, 13 Days.He is survived by his wife Bertha Lou (Armour) Rowland of Selmer, TN; a daughter, Anita (Rowland) Hilliard of Amory, MS; four sons, Carnell Rowland and wife Erma of Selmer, TN, Frank Rowland of Athens, AL, Jimmy Rowland and wife Patti of Germantown, TN, Marty Rowland and wife Jane of Edmond, OK; 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Mr. Rowland was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Lela Rowland; infant granddaughter, Jan Anita Hiliard; five sisters, Beulah Robinson, Vadie Lambert, Dorothy Kiestler, Versie Mae Stanfill and Deffie Armour and three brothers, Alvin, Marshall and Aaron Rowland.
