TYLENE SEATON
Henderson, TN: Edna Tylene Butler Seaton, age 91 passed away March 14, 2013 at her home near Henderson.
Mrs. Seaton was born and reared in Madison County, the Diamond Grove Community, the daughter of the late Walter Elvis and Odie Edna Smith Butler. She attended schools in Madison County and in 1945 married Hubert L. Seaton of the New Friendship Community. She had made her home at New Friendship all of her married life. She had been employed at RaoVac, Salant & Salant Mfg. and retired from ITT Grinnell after seventeen years. She later worked at the Chester County Nursing Home in the dietary department.
She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, New Friendship Community Club, the Mifflin Home Demonstration Club and the Friendship Baptist Church.
She was also a member of the Chester County Seniors Citizens and was a very active participant in the Senior Olympic Games having earned many local and state medals. She loved gardening and sharing vegetable with neighbors and friends.
Mrs. Seaton is survived by a son, Dwain Seaton and wife Nona of Henderson; two grandchildren; Dwain Seaton, Jr. and Dana Berry, seven great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren and a brother, Oscar Irvin Butler of Beaumont, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hubert L. Seaton in 2006 a brother Travis Latham and two sisters Delena McGill and Tommie Little.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Casey Chapel with brother Fred Morris and brother Ronnie Sells officiating and burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 4:00 PM Friday.
