Treva McClain was born on April 16, 1934 in Stantonville, Tennessee. She passed from this life after a brief illness on March 7, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. McClain was united in marriage to Wendell Lee McClain on December 29, 1951. She attended the Pleasant Site Baptist Church.
Mrs. McClain retired from ITT in Selmer, Tennessee. She also worked for a time at Browder’s Shoes in Selmer, Tennessee.
Treva dearly loved her family, and enjoyed cooking meals for them. She loved country music, especially the Grand Ole Opry, and was thrilled whenever she got to attend the Opry. She also loved shopping, and her favorite color was red.
Mrs. McClain is survived by two daughters, Belinda Butler and fiancee, Jesse Roach of Selmer, Tennessee, Angela Hughes and husband, Steve Hughes of Guys, Tennessee, a son, Tony McClain and wife, Lindsey McClain of Corinth, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Michelle Coffman and husband, Rodney Coffman of Corinth, Mississippi, Brandon Butler of Nashville, Tennessee, Blake McClain of Memphis, Tennessee, Bree Hughes of Memphis, Tennessee, Amanda McClain and Shelby McClain of Corinth, Mississippi; and three great-grandchildren, Rheagan Coffman, Spence Coffman, and Reese Butler.
She is further survived by four sisters, Linda Callahan, Annie Craig, Peggy New and Tava Lawson; and two step-brothers, Junior Plunk and Wayne Plunk.
Mrs. McClain was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Lee McClain on August 13, 2007, two sons, Stevie McClain and Stanley McClain, and a brother, Roger Plunk.
