Tony Franklin Garner

Tony Franklin Garner was born on May 12, 1958 in Selmer, Tennessee, the son of Barbara A. Nixon Brock and the late Columbus Franklin Garner. He worked for 18 years as an equipment operator for the McNairy County Highway Department. Tony loved to customize motorcycles and mentored his son Nathan in customizing a bike for his senior project. He was a Baptist.Tony passed from this life on Sunday, July 18, 2010, in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 52 years, 2 months, 6 days.Survivors are his wife Carla Kay Whitten Garner of Selmer; a daughter, Dawn Renee Garner of Selmer; a son, Nathan Wade Garner of Selmer; grandson, Jayden Blaine Garner; his mother, Barbara A. Brock of Bethel Springs; a brother, Joe Nathan Brock of Selmer; a grandmother, Verble Nixon of Selmer.A host of extended family, other relatives, and friends.Other than his father, Tony was preceded in death by his stepfather Naythail Brock and grandfather Clifford Nixon.
