Tommy Wayne Rowland, 58, of Toone, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at Douglass Nursing Home in Milan.
The husband of Sherry Eaton Rowland, who survives, he worked at Harmon Automotive for 25 years and was owner of Rowland Safety & Supply since 1983. Mr. Rowland was born July 6, 1948 in Ripley, Mississippi, the son of Faye Lineberry Rowland of Walnut and the late Roy Rowland. He made his home in Toone since 1977 and loved to play cards. His family stated that “he used to hunt, stopping after he began to care for the deer.†Mr. Rowland was a member of New Union Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, whom he married December 22, 1967, and his mother, survivors include one daughter, Lisa Rowland Ormerod of Toone; two sons and their wives, Eric and Candace Rowland of Jackson and Nick and Amanda Rowland of Humboldt; two brothers, Jim Rowland of Walnut and Don Rowland of Spartanburg, SC and six grandchildren, Luke and Zac Ormerod, Lance, Blake and Allison Grace Rowland and Dayton Faulk.
