TOMMY KILZER
Selmer: Tommy Lee Kilzer, age 65, of Selmer, formerly of Henderson died Wednesday morning July 20, 2016 at his home in Selmer.
Mr. Kilzer was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Frank James and Lexie Maie Davis Kilzer. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1969. He farmed for many years in and around Chester County. He worked as a dock supervisor at Weber Costello and Milan Express and then as a truck driver. Most recently he owned and operated Klean Kut Lawn Service with his son Brad. He married Rene Bodiford in 1997 and they made their home in Selmer the last eleven years.
He had served in the Tennessee National Guard and was a member of the Cave Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Rene Bodiford Kilzer of Selmer, two sons; Brad Kilzer and wife Nikki of Mercer and Bryan Burks of Shiloh, two daughters; Emily Kilzer O’Quin and husband Alan of Brownsville and Brooke Burks of Selmer, seven grandchildren; Emma Davis O’Quin, Mary Alan O’Quinn, Whit Thomas O’Quin, Braydon Kilzer, Brooklyn Kilzer, Eli Kilzer, and Meredith Jones, and a sister Mary Lou Parker of Henderson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Kilzer in 2013.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Friday at Cave Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Geary officiating.
The family will receives at the church beginning at 11:00 AM Friday
