Tom Blackstock

Tom (Oat) Blackstockwas born in Hardin County, Tennessee on January 14, 1931 the son of the late James William and Corda Holland Blackstock.On March 25, 1961 he was united in marriage to Mary Louise Pope, who preceded him in death on April 14, 1980.Mr. Blackstock was a retired Boatswain Mate for the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was of baptist belief.Mr. Blackstock departed this life on January 30, 2008 at his residence at the age of 77 years, 16 days.He is survived by his step-son: Kenneth Clyde Simmons, Jr. of Tampa, Florida; 2 step-daughters: Linda Louise Hines of Tampa, Florida and Patsy Lee Howerton of Eufaula, Alabama; 2 sisters: Alice Davis of Savannah, Tennesee and Jean Blackstock of Sardis, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren: James Frost, Jr., Tiffany Hines, Gary Hill, Jr., Diane Howerton, Brittlee Howerton, Timothy Frost, Christine Terino, Kenneth Simmons; 7 great-grandchildren: Craig Hill, Braedon Hill, Taylor Hadlock, Chase Frost, Ashliegh Frost, Kayla Frost, Jordyn Frost.In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Agnes Davis and Lorean Johnson; 2 brothers: Albert Blackstock and Joe Blackstock.
