Tip Moore

Tip Moore was born April 11, 1926 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Earnest and Mary Suvella Isbell Moore.He was united in marriage to Elaine Hurst on December 21, 1946.Mr. Moore was a barber for fifty years, and was the owner and operator of Moore's Barber Shop in Selmer. He was a member of the Center Ridge Pentecostal Church of God in Selmer, where he served as a Deacon. Mr. Moore was also a member of the Selmer Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons.His favorite hobby was turkey hunting. Mr. Moore departed this life on September 24, 2007 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 5 Months, 13 Days. He is survived by his wife of almost sixty-one years, Elaine (Hurst) Moore of Selmer, TN; three brothers: Buel Moore of Ypsilanti, MI, Warren Moore of Henderson, TN and Isbell Moore of Selmer, TN.In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by five sisters: Anis Manness, Graple Causey, Mary Tull, Cleo South, and Marceline Miller; and four brothers: Howard Moore, Quinn Moore, John Moore and Billy Moore.
