Timothy Darrell Horton

Timothy Darrell Horton of Iron City, TN was born March 24, 1966 in Florence, Alabama, the son of Jerry Alvin and Betty Jean Dodd Horton. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Beth) Morgan on February 16, 2002.



Mr. Horton was a disabled machinist/welder, was a member of the Shawnettee United Methodist Church, Collinwood, Tennessee, and a member of IAM Machinist Local, Muscle Shoals, AL.



Mr. Horton departed this life on April 26, 2010 at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 44 years, 1 month, 2 days.



He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Beth) Horton; children, Timothy Luke and Ivy Elizabeth Horton all of the home; parents, Jerry and Betty Jean Dodd Horton; brother, Phil Horton and wife, Amy, all of Collinwood, TN; grandmother, Betty Dodd, Iron City, TN; father and mother-in-law, Gordon and Linda Barkley Morgan, Iron City, TN; sister-in-law, Holly Baskins and husband, Daniel, Collinwood; grandmother-in-law, Earlene Barkley, Iron City, TN; nephew, Aidan Baskins; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.



Services will be Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 3 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, with John Ives and Butch Kephart officiating. Burial will follow in Shawnettee Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Doug Robbins, Jeff Davis, Dennis Butler, Jason Dodd, Jamie Dodd, Donnie Robertson, Joey Robertson, Brett Gallaher, Daniel Baskins. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Robertson and Thomas Butler.
