Tillman Jackson Mayfield

Mr. Tillman Jackson Mayfield, age 85 of Toone, passed from this life Tuesday night, April 28, 2009 at Bolivar General Hospital.He was born September 27, 1923 in Hardeman County to the late Wesley Edmond and Anna Jane Stack Mayfield. He lived here all his life and married Martha Marie Richie, who survives, July 14, 1953. He was a farmer, worked for Jervis Corp for 10 years, owned a store for 9 years and also drove a school bus. He was a member of the Forest Hill Pentecostal Church.In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Martin Jackson Mayfield of Toone; two grandchildren, Martin Joseph Mayfield and Susan Michelle Mayfield Foster and her husband James; two great-grandchildren, Westin and Logan Foster; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Ann Mayfield; two sisters, Martha Norvell Holloway and Mary Sue Overton; and a brother, Truman Randolph Mayfield.
