Thomas O. Shelton

Thomas O. Shelton was born March 29, 1932 in Alabama the son of the late Marvin and Lottie Mae Smallwood Shelton.On August 25, 1951, he was united in marriage to Genelle Gee who survives.Mr. Shelton was retired from the Tennessee State Highway Department. He was a member of the Refuge Church of Christ in Bethel Springs, Tennessee.Mr. Shelton departed this life on November 1, 2010 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 7 Months, 3 Days. He is survived by his wife Genelle (Gee) Shelton of Bethel Springs, TN; four sons, Gary Thomas Shelton and wife Glenda of Bethel Springs, TN, Phillip Neal Shelton of Selmer, TN, Benny Lee Shelton and wife Pam of Selmer, TN, and Nickey John Shelton of Bethel Springs, TN; four grandchildren, Deanna Williams, Dr. Ryan Shelton, Kristin Smith, and Scott Shelton; four great grandchildren, Lexie and J.T. Smith and Allie and Dalton Williams; a sister, Evelyn King of Kossuth, MS; and a brother, Roosevelt Shelton of Selmer, TN.In addition to his parents, Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Shelton and Gene Shelton.
