Thomas Jimmy 'Red' Parks, Sr., 81, of Whiteville, died Sunday evening, July 22, 2007 at his home.
The husband of Mary Lois Freeman Parks, who survives, he was a truck driver for Citgo Distributorship. Mr. Parks was born April 16, 1926 in Whiteville, son of the late Jimmy Knox Parks and Lula L. Bishop Parks and lived here all of his life. He was a member of Whiteville First Baptist Church and Mr. and Mrs. Parks were the original owners of 100 Cafe.
In addition to his wife, whom he married December 22, 1946, he is survived by three daughters, Patricia Randolph and her husband, Mike of Whiteville, Darlene McKeen of Bolivar, Beth Kee and her husband, Mike of Cloverport; two sons and their wives, Michael and Debbie Parks of Roswell, Georgia, Tommy and Jane Parks of Hickory Wythe; one sister, Jeanette Freeman of Whiteville; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lou Williams and Kathleen Williamson.
