Thomas Wylie Vance Moore of Collinwood, TN was born October 12, 1930 in Wayne County, TN, the son of the late J. C. Curney and Martha Bell Brewer Moore. He was united in marriage to Edith Marlene Andrews on June 6, 1952 and she preceded him in death on June 27, 1989.
Mr. Moore was retired from Murray Ohio Manufacturing Company, was a member of the Williams Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and a member of local 580 in Iron City, Tennessee and departed this life on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at E. C. M. Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 85 Years, 10 Months, 29 Days.
He is survived by a daughter, Judy Ayers and granddaughter, Jerdie Ayers both of Collinwood, TN; his fiance', Roxie Moore, Iron City, TN and her daughters, Regina Gambrell and husband, Melvin and Sandra Butler and husband, Jerry and their families; brother-in-law, Harry Andrews; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Andrews, Margie Stooksberry, Betty Andrews; several nieces and nephews and special caregiver, Jennie Franks.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by sisters, Willodean Royse, Pauline Bailey, Elsie Moore and son-in-law, J. H. Ayers.
Services will be Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Camryn Eaton, James T. Turnbow and Steven Turnbow officiating with Masonic Rites to follow. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Pallbearers will be Danny Sandusky, Harold Thompson, Tommy Wright, Buddy Johnston, Bobby Hodge and Justin Hodge.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 6 to 9 pm at the funeral home and Wednesday, September 14, 2016 from 10 am to service time at the funeral home.
