Thomas J. Montgomery

Thomas J. Montgomery of Selmer, Tennessee, was born on October 6, 1931, the son of the late John Thomas and Odie Moore Montgomery. He was a Korean War veteran having served in the United States Army and a retired drywall finisher. He married Shirley Whitaker on July 25, 1955.Mr. Montgomery departed this life on Thursday, July 10, 2008, in Selmer at the age of 76 years, 9 months, and 4 days.Survivors are his wife of nearly 53 years, Shirley Montgomery; a daughter, Diane York and husband George of Ramer, Tennessee; three sons, Tommy Montgomery and wife Sue of Bethel Springs, Tennessee, David Montgomery and wife Donna of Selmer, and Billy Montgomery and wife Betty of Adamsville, Tennessee.8 Grandchildren and 9 Great-GrandchildrenAlso survived by two sisters, Omilee McIntyre and husband John of Bethel Springs, and Johnnie Cummings and husband H. C. of Enville, Tennessee.
