Thomas Victor Butler, Sr., 80, of Middleton, died Monday evening, May 21, 2007 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widower of Mary Lou Grantham Butler, who died January 4, 2003, he was a plumber. Mr. Butler was born October 21, 1926 in Paden, Miss., son of the late Willie Otho Butler and Ruth Hazel Hines Butler. He lived in Memphis before making his home in Middleton in June of 1995. He earned his pilot's license, loved to build houses and was Catholic in belief in his early life.
Survivors include five daughters, Glynda Louise Sami of Arlington, Jeanne Annette Scott of Cordova, Janet Lynn Langley of Pocahontas, Katherine Martina Ewing of Memphis and Mary Theresa Watkins of Potts Camp, Miss.; two sons, Thomas Victor Butler, Jr. and Robert Fitzwalter Butler, both of Middleton; one sister, Joan Milam of Nesbit, Miss.; four brothers, Richard Butler of Salmon, Ida., Gene Butler of Kingston, Raymond Butler of Victoria, Miss., Bill Butler of Louisville, Ky and 23 grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Hugh Irwin “Ped†Butler.
