Theodore Barney Kowalski

Theodore Barney Kowalski passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at his home in Waynesboro, TN.

The devoted husband of 58 years. He was born the 4th child of Walter and Mary Kulugowski Kowalski, in Bullville, N.Y. in 1931. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Marines, becoming a soldier of the Frozen Chosin. He served in the Air Force, on Embassy duty in England, Germany, Austria, and France. Now he will be guarding the gates of Heaven. 

He was a Ft Lauderdale, Florida police officer for 20 years. Retiring to Tennessee to raise Morgan horses, Dobermann Pinschers, and live the quiet country life. 

He is survived by his wife Lyda Sly Kowalski; daughter, Kelly Vernon (Anthony); 2 granddaughters, Rachel (Maurico Parker) and Natalee Vernon; 1 great granddaughter, Evangeline Lewis; 1 soon to be great granddaughter, Angelica Theodora Cunningham; plus many wonderful nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Waynesboro, TN from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm for a visitation.
