Thelma Tallent

Thelma D. Tallentwas born in Culleoka, Tennessee on April 28, 1919 the daughter of the late Earl Thomas and Esther Martin Denton.On May 8, 1943 she was united in marriage to Carl T. Tallent, who preceded her in death on April 22, 2008.Before marrying Ms. Tallent worked as a nurse in Pulaski, Tennessee. She enjoyed flower gardening and was a member of the Savannah church of Christ.Ms. Tallent departed this life on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the age of 89 years, 2 months, 19 days.Ms. Tallent is survived by a daughter: Joyce Speight and her husband David Larry of Cleveland, Tennessee; a son: Tommy Tallent and his wife Patricia of Savannah, Tennessee; a brother: Ralph Denton of Hobe Springs, Florida; two sisters: Earline Smith of Lewisburg, Tennessee and Frances Ozella Dugger of Culleoka, Tennessee; four grandchildren: David Henry Speight and his wife Jill, Jonathan Mark Speight, Jonathan Keith Tallent and his wife Kim, and Joyce Elaine Tallent; three great-grandchildren: Macy Katherine Speight, Molly Elizabeth Speight, and Mallory Grace Speight.
