Thelma Earle Meeks
was born September 29, 1922 in Savannah, Tennessee the daughter of the late Albert and Mable Evelyn Heathcock Webb.
On December 24, 1940 she was united in marriage to Herbert Landen Meeks, who preceded her in death on February 18, 1980. Mrs. Meeks was a homemaker and a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church. She loved her kids, her grandchildren, gardening and cooking.
She departed this life on March 7, 2006 at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 6 days.
Mrs. Meeks is survived by one daughter, Dianne Grimes of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 sons: David Meeks of Counce, Tennessee and Randy Meeks of Michie, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren: Anthony Meeks, Jason Meeks, Ian Meeks, Miles Meeks and Carmen Yancey; 4 great-grandchildren: Josh Yancey, Jake Yancey, Landen Meeks and Matt Meeks; and one brother, Travis Oneal Webb of Counce, Tennessee.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Wayne Meeks and 4 brothers: James Edward Webb, Edwin Allen Webb, Eugene Douglas Webb and Bobby Glen Webb.
