Thelma Louise Harris

February 10, 1929 — June 20, 2008

Ms. Harris died Friday afternoon at Bolivar General Hospital.



A native of Hardeman County, she was retired from Merchants and Planters Bank in Toone after 24 years. She was born to James B. Harriss, Sr. and Carmie Little Harriss, both of whom preceded her in death, and lived all of her life here. She was a 1947 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and a member of Toone Baptist Church.



Survivors include two sisters, Annie M. Pierce of Memphis and Rose Vernon of Olive Branch, MS; and nieces and nephews, Nancy Jeffords, Carmen Louise O'Bryan, Charlotte O'Neal, Sandra Hale, Donna Christy, Wanda Dingler, Mike Vernon and Harriss Siler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and James B. Harriss, Jr. and a sister, Emily Siler.
