Services for Thelma Ruth Daniel of Collinwood will be Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Collinwood with Josh Stults officiating. Burial will follow in Collinwood Memorial Gardens with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
She was born April 8, 1934 in Collinwood, TN, the daughter of the late Grayford (Jackie) Thomas and Annie Elizabeth Thompson Daniel. She married Glenn Elvin Daniel on March 24, 1951 and he preceded her in death on November 4, 1994. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by three sons, Randall, Michael, and Timothy (Ears) Daniel, a grandson, Nicholas Shane Inman, and a brother, Hoyte Ray Daniel.
Mrs. Daniel died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 8 Months, 26 Days. She was retired from Genesco and was a member of Collinwood Freewill Baptist Church and Collinwood Eastern Star.
She is survived by a son, Jeffery Dale Daniel; two daughters, Gwenda Joan Inman and husband, Dale, and Lisa Annette Brown all of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Chris (Wendy) Inman, Brandon (Amanda) Brown, Matthew (Amber) Brown, Jordan (Monica Stooksberry) Brown, Keisha Daniel, Jessica Daniel, and Dillon Blackburn; great-grandchildren, Aubri, Alec, and Abby Inman, Jessica and Jayden Brown, Aiden , Aubri , and Ally, a brother, Thomas Roger Daniel of Florence, AL; sister, Barbara Michael of Byhalia, MS and a honorary sister, Golden Stults of Collinwood, TN; several nieces and nephews.
