Thelma Mayfield Cryer, 86, of Bolivar, died Monday, August 28, 2006 at Bolivar General Hospital.
The widow of Wesley Robert Cryer, who died January 30, 2000, she was a hair dresser. Mrs. Cryer was born July 3, 1920 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late William Armond Mayfield and Lula Roby Mayfield and lived here all of her life. She was a member of Bolivar First Baptist Church.
Services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at Shackelford Funeral Directors Bolivar chapel with Dr. Ernest E. James and David Cooper officiating. Burial was in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Beauton Baker of Bolivar and Euvonne Adams of Lake Cormorant, Miss.; one son, Robert Cryer of Bolivar; two sisters, Martha Roberts and Marie McKinnie, both of Bolivar; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mamie Mayfield and two brothers, Herman Oliver and W. A. Mayfield.
