Thelma Carroll

THELMA STRICKLIN CARROLLwas born in Savannah, Tennessee on November 5, 1921, daughter of the late Fred and Hettie Williams Stricklin.On March 29, 1947 she was united in marriage to Dr. James Walker Carrollwho preceded her in death on September 7, 1964.Mrs. Carroll was a Registered Nurse and served as the Patient Advocate for Hardin County General Hospital for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Book Club, Bridge Club, Savannah Garden Club, and United Daughters of the Confederacy.Mrs. Carroll departed from this life June 27, 2007 at the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 22 days.She leaves a daughter - Catherine Elizabeth Carroll of Savannah, Tennessee.One son - Fredrick Creed Carroll - Savannah, Tennessee.2 grandchildren - James Walker Carroll, III (Trip) and Bailey Russell Carroll.Mrs. Carroll was also preceded in death by a son, Dr. James Walker Carroll, Jr. DDS and a sister, Freda Stricklin McFall.
