Terry Parrish departed this life on Monday, July 29, 2019, at the age of 82 years, 1 month, and 24 days. He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on June 5, 1937, the son of the late Pope and Mamie Terry Parrish. On October 23, 1970, he was united in marriage to Dottie Godwin, who survives.
Terry retired from truck driving. He had also drove a school bus, ran the ferry at Pickwick Dam, and was a commercial fisherman for several years. He enjoyed fishing, watching TV, especially "Gunsmoke", and spending time with his grandkids. Terry was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
In addition to his wife of 48 years, Dottie Parrish of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Michael Parrish and his wife Holly, Jeffrey Parrish and his wife Sarah Kate, Melva Boyd and her husband Gerald, all of Savannah, Tennessee, and Gloria Matejka and her husband Gary of Adamsville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jessica Parrish, Michaela Parrish, Brayden Boyd, Gaven Boyd, Ashton Matejka, Kate Helen Parrish, and Kourtney Parrish; great grandchild, Annalise Parrish; and sister, Elizabeth Parrish.
Along with his parents, Terry was preceded in death by siblings, Billy Parrish, Beatie Mae Adams, Earline Cummings, Louise Pickens, and an infant brother.
